Blockchain Lab Established At Chinese Academy of Sciences
“The lab will also ‘ strive to make basic, critical and forward-looking contributions to enhance the overall technical level of blockchain development.'”
The Chinese Academy of Sciences, the highest academic body of China’s natural sciences, is currently participating in a new blockchain study.
The Chinese Academy of Sciences has established a “Big Data and Blockchain Lab” with Beijing Taiyi Cloud Technology Co., Ltd., aiming to use mathematical techniques to study the frontier issues in the blockchain field.
According to a report from People’s Daily, the lab will also “strive to make basic, critical and forward-looking contributions to enhance the overall technical level of blockchain development.”
Gao Xiaoshan, deputy director of the Center for Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said at the seminar that mathematical methods will undoubtedly play a key role in the core issues of efficient blockchain networks, blockchain emerging technologies, and blockchain anti-quantum encryption. The role of mathematical ideology penetration will also support the establishment of the entire blockchain mechanism.
Experts at the meeting held a lively discussion on the key issues in the development of blockchain. Everyone unanimously agreed that the big data and blockchain labs jointly established by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Taiyi Cloud are forward-looking explorations. They are key technologies and blocks of mathematics. A well-developed platform with a combination of chains will certainly contribute to the improvement of the overall technology level of blockchains in China.
